Tour Description:

 

Amarnath Yatra is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lakhs of Pilgrims visit Amarnath Caves Shrine for Darshan i.e. located in Jammu and Kashmir. This shrine is believed to be over 5,000 years old. The image of Shiva, in the form of a lingam, is formed naturally of ice, along with two more ice-lingams, that of Parvati and Ganesha.  The pilgrimage starts in the month of Shravan viz July and August, i.e. when the snow cover is at its minimum there.

DAY 01:                               Delhi – Srinagar

Transfer to Railway Station/Airport for journey to Srinagar, i.e. full of natural beauty and famous for its lakes, gardens, natural scenery and houseboats. Check in Hotel & rest. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Hotel.

DAY 02:                               Srinagar – Sonmarg

After breakfast, check out & proceed for Sonmarg, i.e. surrounded by pine trees and mountain, famous for rock climbing, alpine skiing and trout fishing. Check in Hotel & rest. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Hotel. 

DAY 03:                               Sonmarg - Amarnath – Baltal

After early breakfast, check out & trek upwards to Amarnath Cave for darshan. Before darshan, take a holy dip in the ice-cold water of Amarnath Stream, which flows outside the cave. Inside cave scenery is a calm tranquility of white and glistering three massive Lingams stand erect symbol of Lord Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha. After darshan trek to Baltal.

Baltal is a camping ground for pilgrims, 15 km north of Sonmarg on the Sindh river at the base of Zojila pass in Jammu and Kashmir. Overnight Stay in Pilgrim-tents.

DAY 04:                               Baltal – Srinagar – Delhi

Morning check out & transfer to Srinagar Railway Station/Airport for onwards journey to Delhi.
